Great, TK...you're the director! ;-)  Obviously, I'm just getting started with the site, but it will grow organically.  Get a list to me and we'll get it out to the world.  Ry.

Are you really sure that tribute & cover bands deserve to be given credit any place except in a "copycat museum". Personally, I feel that we should only honor "original" artists and their work. While tribute & cover bands might sound real good...they have done nothing to be honored for.

Ok, I am a little taken off base here.  Did I miss something?  Not sure what you mean about tribute and cover bands being in the museum.

Tom, even when you were in Waxahachie, not once did you ever come and support our venue IN THE MUSIC ROOM (www.inthemusicroom.com) and our efforts to help songwriters, especially Texas songwriters - I look at anything as a two way street - I always helped you when you asked, but, nothing was ever recipricated - hope the museum does great, but, it will be without our efforts - Ryan, and, I'm sure a lot of others, will help you get where you should. God bless.

The Irving Mayor and City Council have approved a development agreement that will bring the Texas Musicians Museum to the heart of the city.

The museum, which will be located at 222 E. Irving Blvd., is part of Irving’s push to revitalize the city’s historic downtown area.

Jimi May not be from Texas, but he played here and its his birthday!

I know Jimi Hendrix is not from Texas, but he played here several times and besides today is his birthday.  I remember reading a quote that some people might take as a put down on God, but it was just a way of emphasizing how special Texas and its music synergy is.  I think the quote went something like this, "Proof that there is no real god is the fact that Jimi Hendrix isn't from Texas".  Now that is certainly a touchy statement and I certainly do not mean to offend anyone, but it crossed…
